Why should I become a member?
This is a common question that people often ask. The thought is, if I am already serving in the church and participating in the life of the church, what is the difference between that and being a member?
The difference is commitment. Commitment to the vision of our church, commitment to support the ministry of our church financially, with prayers, and with use of the gifts God has given you. Commitment to the church as a member brings with it the responsibility to take part in church business, voting on our budget and leaders, as we seek to work in unity to carry out the vision God has for us. Commitment to the church as a member means that you do not flee at the first sign of trouble or when things aren't perfect, but work with leaders and members to continue moving the church toward the vision God has for us. Committed members hold one another accountable to these standards and urge one another on.
